About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychotherapist with a degree in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy from Warwick University and a specialist interest in trauma.
I work with individuals who may be struggling with the impact of trauma, difficult life experiences, or feeling stuck in recurring emotional patterns. I offer a compassionate, authentic and professional space to explore these experiences at your own pace.
Choosing to begin counselling can be an important step towards understanding and change.
Person-centred counselling is grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. It provides a safe, non-judgemental and trauma-aware environment in which to explore your experiences, develop insight and work towards emotional healing.
Alongside my private practice, I have many years’ experience working with a local charity supporting survivors of sexual abuse, rape and sexual violence, as well as having worked as a Wellbeing Counsellor for the UK’s largest Employee Assistance Provider.
Practice description
I work online and in-person from the Traditional Acupuncture Centre in Leamington Spa.
My first session
It is completely normal to feel apprehensive about reaching out for help and to question if you are doing the right thing. There is no obligation to sign up for sessions; calling or emailing is simply a way of starting a conversation.
The therapy I offer is person-centred so it will always be about what feels right for you. The key to successful therapy, above everything else, is the relationship between the client and the counsellor.
The first introductory session is an opportunity for you to gain a sense of how the counselling might feel for you. This session is free and can be held either on the phone or online.
If you wish to continue, we can then arrange face-to-face or online sessions to fit around your diary, whether weekly or every 2 weeks.
I am available for sessions between 8.30am and 4.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
I am also available for evening sessions, so do contact me to find out more.
