About me and my therapy practice
Healing together - a group support space for sibling grief/loss
Grieving the loss of a sibling can feel isolating, confusing and complicated - but you don't have to carry the weight of your loss alone.
This structured, small therapeutic group provides a warm and compassionate environment to process your feelings, share your story and connect with others who understand and share the profound impact of losing a sibling. Together we will navigate the complex emotions of grief and explore gentle ways to claim your grief and begin to rebuild a life around it ....
Practice description
Each in-person group programme consists of 6 consecutive, 2 hour evening sessions bringing together a small group of individuals (max 8 people) - who share the experience of losing a sibling. The group members will remain consistent across the six sessions to provide a safe and contained space for all participants.
What to expect:
* shared experiences - a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment to speak openly about your loss
*pyschoeduction - guidance on the non-linear and complex nature of sibling grief; learn more about how sibling loss is different; emotional triggers; coping strategies and living/growing around your grief
*mutual support - the validation, comfort, support that comes from listening to others on a similar journey
*facilitated healing - professional support and guidance from two qualified and registered BACP therapists

About me and my therapy practice
There are times in life when we feel distressed, overwhelmed, anxious, stuck or unhappy and in need of greater support. While we can't change what has happened to us, understanding our responses to these experiences and events can help us deepen our self-awareness and explore what we need, how we can adapt and move forward.
As a humanistic counsellor, I will work closely with you to establish a warm, trusted and supportive relationship where you can feel safe and held, to express your innermost feelings, thoughts and vulnerabilities. We will work through your issues at your pace, with you as the expert on you/your experiences, facilitated by my expertise in therapeutic counselling and psychotherapy.
I draw on a range of therapeutic tools and approaches, specifically tailored to meet your unique needs and therapy aims. I am qualified as an integrative counsellor in three core modalities - person-centered, gestalt and transactional analysis. I combine these with my neuro-linguistic programming training to offer a unique blend of personalised therapy.
Practice description
I work face-to-face in Ealing and also offer an on-line service. Sessions are weekly, long or short-term.
I have experience in a diverse range of issues gained whilst practising in community counselling services at Metanoia Counselling and Psychotherapy Service (MCPS) in Ealing, and Headstrong Counselling in West London, before setting up my private practice. I have particular expertise in dealing with anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, developmental trauma, low self esteem.
I hold a BSc and Diploma in Humanistic Counselling gained at Metanoia Institute/Middlesex University. I am a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linquistic Programming (NLP) and have a certification in Generative Coaching.
Before becoming a counsellor I enjoyed a career in international qualitative research for over 25 years, indulging my passion in people and their motivations.
