About me and my therapy practice

Hello and a warm welcome to my profile, my name is Kerry and I’m a BACP registered Person-Centred Counsellor, integrating CBT, Psychodynamic and Gestalt into my practice.

The essence of my counselling approach is one human being fully present and available for another human in a psychologically safe, kind and empathic environment. It’s the act of truly listening to help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and your inner world. Counselling can help make sense of your experiences, gain different perspectives and to move forward with your life in a more meaningful way.

Some rewarding feedback shared by a client:

‘I felt for once in my life, someone heard me and did not judge me, you’ve helped me to build strength again’.

I have a background that includes working in education as a coach and mentor for young people and adults to reach positive destinations. Furthermore, I have 4 years experience providing work based wellbeing support to NHS staff for work and personal related concerns. Throughout my career I have been a key worker supporting around neurodiversity and this is a special interest of mine.

I have worked in the NHS as a  counsellor in sexual health services, which I loved, and provide LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy.

Practice description
