About me and my therapy practice

I work with women who are capable, thoughtful, and emotionally aware, but who feel unsettled or unsure in their relationships or in themselves.

From the outside, it looks like you’ve got it all together.

You’re capable, self-aware, and used to handling things well.

But internally, it doesn’t always feel that simple.

You overthink conversations.

You replay things after they’ve happened.

You question yourself. What you said, how you came across, whether you got it wrong.

You take on a lot.

You notice how quickly you step in, smooth things over, or carry responsibility for how other people feel.

You adapt to keep things steady, often without even realising you’re doing it.

And somewhere in all of that, you end up second-guessing yourself.

You can feel anxious, unsure, or unsettled in your relationships, even when everything should feel okay.

And underneath it all, there’s often a quieter question:

Why do I feel like this?

The Emotions Co is a private online therapy space for women who want to understand their relationship with themselves and how that shapes the relationships they’re in.

This is about making sense of your emotional responses, your patterns, and the way you experience connection, so things start to feel clearer rather than confusing.

We look at attachment, boundaries, self-esteem, and communication, not as concepts, but as lived experiences that show up in how you think, feel, and relate to others.

The work isn’t about fixing you.

It’s about helping you understand yourself in a way that changes how you feel day to day, so you can move through your relationships with more clarity, steadiness, and self-trust.

So you’re not constantly second-guessing yourself.

So you’re not carrying everything on your own.

So you feel more like you again.

And so your relationships feel better, because you feel better in them.

Practice description

I offer 1:1 therapy in a calm, supportive, way. Sessions are a space where you can talk openly, take your time, and feel listened to without judgement or pressure. You do not need to arrive with a plan or know exactly what you want to say. We begin with whatever feels most present for you.

All sessions are offered online, either by video call or phone call. This allows you to attend therapy from a space that feels comfortable and familiar, and to fit sessions around your life more easily.

My way of working is warm, attuned, and thoughtful. I will reflect patterns I notice, ask gentle questions, and support you to explore your feelings at a pace that feels manageable. Therapy with me is not about being fixed or pushed, but about understanding yourself more clearly and feeling more confident in how you respond to life and relationships.

I work within clear professional and ethical boundaries and in line with the standards of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. My aim is to offer a reliable, respectful therapeutic space where you can feel safe enough to explore what matters to you.

My first session

If you are considering therapy with me, I offer a free 10 minute introductory chat. This can take place by phone or video call and is a chance for you to ask any questions, get a sense of how I work, and see whether it feels like a good fit. There is no pressure to commit and no expectation that you will have everything worked out.

If you decide to go ahead, the first full session is an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you would like support with. We move at a pace that feels right for you. You do not need to share anything before you are ready, and there is no set agenda.

The first session is also a space to begin building a sense of safety and trust. Many people find it helpful simply to speak openly and feel listened to. From there, we can begin to explore patterns, feelings, and experiences in a way that supports clarity and steadiness over time.
