About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I work with adults (16 plus) presenting with various problems such as anxiety, depression, intense and overwhelming emotions, bereavement, ADHD, and relationship difficulties. Additionally, I have experience working with students in higher education, where mental health difficulties are impacting on academic performance. If you are experiencing symptoms associated with BPD/EUPD, I can offer dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) informed treatment. This may include individual sessions, in addition to a skills training element.

I have been working in mental health for over 15 years. I have worked primarily in inpatient and hospital settings, but also have experience working in private practice, higher education, charity and outpatient services. I have extensive training and experience delivering dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) for patients and their families. My work has also involved implementing therapeutic service pathways for inpatient and hospital settings.

Practice description

I offer counselling and psychotherapy using an integrative relational approach. This means regardless of the reason you are seeking therapy; I will work together with you to build a relationship where you feel safe and comfortable to explore your difficulties. Being trained in different therapeutic approaches means I can tailor an appropriate treatment for you. I currently work with both individuals and groups in private practice, and at the Nightingale Hospital in London. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 48 hours.

My first session

It is important that you find a counsellor that feels right for you. Therefore, I offer a 15-minute introduction on Zoom, free of charge. This will give us an opportunity to meet, and hopefully leave you with an initial sense of what it might be like to have your counselling sessions with me before you decide to commit. There is no obligation at any time.

During our first session, we will explore in more depth what has bought you to counselling.

If you are hoping to engage in DBT, then the first session will take the form of an assessment.
