About me and my therapy practice

I aim to offer a welcoming, non-judgemental, supportive, and safe space, to help you talk through concerns in as much depth as you feel comfortable with. We’ll go at your pace, giving time and focus to what’s most important to you, and we’ll look out for opportunities to make positive changes.

My goal is to work flexibly and collaboratively with you, and to stay alongside you in whatever you want to address: people often come to therapy for more than one reason, and discover unexpected ways to make use of it once they’ve started.

Practice description

My way of working is integrative, so I’m trained and skilled in a number of different therapeutic approaches. The approaches I most often draw from include person-centred counselling, attachment theory, and elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Sessions can be online or in-person, depending on what works best for you.

I offer competitive rates, with fees set by a sliding scale related to income. To find out more, please get in touch by email, phone or submitting the form on this website. I aim to respond to all enquiries within two working days.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute phone conversation so we can meet one another, and help you decide whether you want to book in some sessions.

Our first full session will be an assessment, where we’ll decide if we feel we can work together. If we do agree to start sessions, we’ll use an open-ended contract for as many or as few sessions as you’d like.

I’ll aim for us to review the work every six or eight sessions, so that we can help make sure it’s as helpful for you as it can be. This also means that, wherever possible, we’ll both commit to ongoing therapy until you feel the work is complete.
