About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in supporting adults struggling with addiction, compulsive behaviours, trauma, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm.

Many of the people I work with feel stuck in cycles they desperately want to change — whether that involves alcohol, substances, destructive coping patterns, or the lasting impact of difficult life experiences. Some appear to be coping well externally while privately feeling exhausted, ashamed, anxious, or out of control.

I offer a calm, non-judgmental space where we can begin to understand what is driving these patterns and work towards meaningful, lasting change.

I know how isolating addiction and emotional struggle can feel

Practice description

Alongside private practice, I have extensive experience working within charity settings supporting people affected by addiction, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, anger, panic attacks, and major life difficulties.

My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and practical. I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and coping strategies. Together, we can develop healthier ways of managing distress, reducing self-destructive patterns, and building emotional resilience.

I understand that seeking help can feel difficult, particularly when shame, fear, or relapse are involved. Therapy is not about judgment — it is about helping you regain stability, self-understanding, and a greater sense of control over your life.

I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation to help us decide whether we are the right fit for each other.
