About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I am Diane Wardman, a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist offering online therapy to clients throughout the UK and internationally.

I work in a pluralistic way, meaning I draw on a range of psychological approaches to tailor therapy to each individual. I place strong emphasis on a collaborative, respectful therapeutic relationship, which I see as the foundation for meaningful change.

I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, bereavement, stress, OCD, anger difficulties, addiction, self-esteem and confidence issues, body image, eating difficulties, relationship problems, family issues, neurodiversity (including ADHD and autism), mood disorders, and abuse (emotional, physical, and sexual).

I offer short-term, medium-term, and long-term counselling, with sessions typically taking place weekly or fortnightly depending on your needs and circumstances. All sessions are delivered online via Zoom and last 50 minutes.

If you have any questions or would like to explore whether we might work well together, you are welcome to contact me or book either a free 20-minute introductory call or a 50-minute session via my booking page:

Practice description

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” Carl Rogers

No matter who you are or what you are going through, counselling can provide a supportive space to begin addressing your mental health needs. It can sometimes feel difficult to seek help, and you are not alone in this.

I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental counselling space where you can safely explore your mental health concerns.

We work collaboratively to explore difficulties, clarify goals, and consider strategies that support emotional well-being throughout the counselling process.

In the 20-minute introductory Zoom call, you can briefly outline your aims for therapy and ask any questions about how I work.

If we decide to proceed, I will send the relevant paperwork for completion prior to the first counselling session.

I provide ongoing counselling support for as long as it is clinically appropriate and agreed upon within the therapeutic process.

If you feel ready to begin counselling, you are welcome to book an introductory session or a 50-minute counselling appointment via the Scheduling Page link below:

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” Carl Rogers

You might be considering counselling because something in your life no longer feels sustainable. Perhaps you’re functioning on the outside but struggling internally, feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself or others. You don’t need to be in crisis to begin therapy; sometimes it’s simply a sense that you want things to feel different.

I offer a warm, calm, and non-judgemental counselling space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. This is a place where you don’t have to minimise your feelings or “get it right.” We will work gently and thoughtfully, making sense of your experiences together.

My way of working is collaborative and relational. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, exploring patterns and emotional responses, while also developing practical coping strategies to support your day-to-day wellbeing.

Many of the people I work with are insightful and capable, yet find themselves feeling depleted, self-critical, or uncertain beneath the surface. Therapy can be a space to pause, reflect, and begin relating to yourself with greater clarity and compassion.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory Zoom call, a chance to share what’s brought you to counselling, ask questions, and see whether my approach feels right. There’s no pressure to commit.

If we choose to work together, I’ll send you the necessary paperwork ahead of our first session. You can book a free introductory call or a 50-minute counselling session via my online scheduling page:

Finding the right counsellor matters. If something here resonates with you, you’re very welcome to get in touch and see whether I might be a good fit.
