Availability
I am based in London and offer in-person therapy for individuals and couples in Camden, NW1 on Fridays and Saturday in Highbury, N7. My Camden practice is currently full. I have on space available at my Highbury practice at 1pm.
From 1st July, I am expanding my in-person and online practice in Camden on Tuesdays.
I also offer 3-day intensives for individual couples. This compromises 3 x 8 hour days together.
About me and my therapy practice
As an integrative psychotherapist and trauma therapist, my approach is rooted in curiosity: seeking to understand what may be getting in the way of what you most want for yourself. I weave innovative contemporary approaches into how I work, including Internal Family Systems [IFS], Somatic Expperiencing [SE], NARM and Somatic EMDR. I work inclusively with all people, couples and groups in the exploration of personal and professional issues, relationships, low self-esteem, identity, diversity, addiction, compulsive behaviours, life transitions and trauma. While trauma is a reality for many people who seek therapy, experience has shown me it doesn't have to be a life sentence.
Practice description
Clients describe me as warm, direct, intuitive, & creative, with a good sense of humour, offering gentle challenges when needed. My role is to collaborate with you to make sense of your experiences, uncover patterns, & build stronger connections with yourself and others. As feelings change, behaviours change. When behaviours change, relationships do too!
When working with couples, be they in monogamous or consensual non-monogamous relationships, I combine Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Relational Life Therapy (RLT): an approach combining therapy and coaching that helps partners break unhelpful patterns, address power imbalances and rebuild connection.
My first session
I offer a 30-minute online 'Chemistry Session", free of charge. I have found this to be the best way for us to meet without any obligation, so I can find out more about you and what you are hoping for by engaging in therapy. It also gives you the opportunity to ask me questions about how I work and sense if we might be a good fit, as this is the most important factor in effective therapy.
Should you wish to proceed, I issue my Terms and Conditions and Client Agreement which explicitly details how I work, which includes agreed fee, cancellation policy and confidentiality among other things. Within the contract is an invitation to work together for 6 sessions and then re-assess how you are finding the experience and if you would like to continue.
Typically, our first session is very gentle as I get to know you through an assessment. The following sessions will give us the opportunity to begin creating a sense of safety and trust within our relationship. This will also enable me to get a sense of what approaches may be the most suitable for you at this time.
