Availability

Hi, my name is Rachel. I’m an experienced Integrative Therapist based in both Finchley and Central London. I have availability for new clients both face to face and online Monday to Wednesday and Friday mornings.

About me and my therapy practice

Perhaps you’re feeling anxious, depressed, the weight of life’s pressures or you’re dealing with work conflicts, facing relationship issues, or mourning a loss. No matter the hurdle, I’m here to work together with you through your difficulties and support your journey to a happier and more fulfilling life.

We’re all faced with challenges that at times leave us lost and alone in our feelings, unable to move forward. Every step in my journey is a commitment to fostering healing and resilience to help resolve these issues your issues, to step into your shoes and walk with you as we work through them.

Looking for help isn’t a failure. While it may feel difficult to commit to therapy, taking that first step is essential to finding ways to examine and relate to the issues in your past that are stopping you from moving forward.

With years of experience working privately and with both Mind and Cruse Bereavement Care, my focus is to address mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem and help you navigate life pressures, work conflicts, relationship issues, and bereavement.

Practice description

I am an Integrative Therapist which entails combining a blend of approaches and techniques for your individual journey and healing process.  My integrative approach is largely informed by psychodynamic theory but I also integrate other theories such as person-centred, transactional analysis and cognitive behavioural theory.

This flexible and non-prescriptive framework allows us to explore and understand your underlying pattern of being in the world, how your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and patterns of behaviour shaped by past experiences impact you in the way you relate to yourself and others in the present.

My approach is very much a collaborative experience providing you with an environment that is supportive, secure and contained for you to feel safe enough to explore and make sense of your experiences and internal world and put you on the path towards positive change.

I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy. The flexibility in the duration of therapy allows you to choose the path that aligns best with your unique needs and goals.

My first session

This is an opportunity for me to gain a deeper understanding of your challenges, goals and expectations, while also providing the opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about my approach and the therapeutic process. Working collaboratively, this is a mutual exploration to determine whether we are a good fit to work together.

We will also discuss how we will work together during this first session, such as the frequency and duration of our sessions, what happens when sessions are missed and any other practical matters. Setting clear expectations from the start helps us create a sense of structure, stability and containment on our journey together through therapy.

I understand that every person’s journey is unique and in our sessions I tailor my approach to suit your specific needs. I take an integrative approach combining different counselling modalities including Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Each session is a safe place for you to take the steps required on your journey in a calm, non-judgemental and confidential environment. My ultimate goal is to support you from wherever you are to the place you want to be.
