About me and my therapy practice
About Me
My path to counselling wasn't straightforward, but I am deeply grateful for it. Years ago, I navigated a dark chapter, struggling with alcohol addiction and unresolved grief. I know firsthand how it feels to be lost and vulnerable. Through counselling, I found the strength to face these challenges and embrace sobriety.
This showed me the profound power of being heard without judgment, sparking a passion to help others. Five years into recovery, I formally trained as a counsellor. Today, I draw on my past to offer deep empathy. It takes courage to ask for help, and I provide a safe, secure space to explore your challenges freely.
Additionally, my years in the medical device industry—collaborating with professionals treating MS, Parkinson's, and cancer—deepened my appreciation for human resilience and the need for compassionate support during life's hardest moments.
I bring both professional training and lived experience to our sessions. I fundamentally believe we all have the power to heal, and I am here to walk alongside you as you find your way forward.

Practice description
Welcome
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, but you don't have to navigate it alone. I provide a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely.
My Approach
At the heart of my practice is humanistic counselling. I believe you are the expert of your own experience and possess an innate capacity for growth. I am not an authority figure with all the answers; rather, I am here to walk alongside you. We will work together to uncover your strengths, trust your inner wisdom, and find ways for you to live more authentically.
Because every person is unique, I take an integrative approach. By blending humanistic principles with techniques from Gestalt therapy, Existential therapy, and Transactional Analysis, we can tailor sessions to what works best for you. You are always in the driver's seat of this journey. I am simply here to support, guide, and gently challenge you.
Areas of Focus: Trauma and Loss
While I work with a wide range of issues, I have particular experience supporting clients through trauma and loss.
Trauma—whether from a single event or ongoing experiences—can overwhelm our ability to cope and affect how we see the world. It often manifests as anxiety, depression, flashbacks, or difficulties in relationships. I provide a safe, secure environment to process your experiences at your own pace. We will gently explore how the trauma has impacted you and develop strategies to help you regain a sense of safety and control in your life.
