About me and my therapy practice
Life can be challenging, and sometimes, talking to someone outside of your immediate circle can bring the clarity and relief you need. I offer professional, compassionate counselling in a safe, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of where to start, I’m here to support you. You don’t need to have all the answers—just taking the first step towards talking can be incredibly powerful.
My approach:
My counselling style is person-centred and tailored to you. This means that our sessions focus on your unique needs, helping you to feel heard, valued, and empowered. I create a calming and supportive environment where you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself, develop coping strategies, and build emotional resilience.
With years of experience as a qualified therapist, I’ve worked with individuals from all walks of life, helping them navigate:
• Anxiety and depression – If you’re feeling overwhelmed, low, or struggling to cope, we can work together to find balance.
• Pregnancy and postnatal Mental Health – As a former NHS Midwife and Genetic Counsellor, I specialise in supporting individuals through pregnancy-related anxiety, birth trauma, miscarriage, and neonatal loss.
• Grief and bereavement – The loss of a loved one or a significant life change can feel isolating, but you don’t have to go through it alone.
• Relationship challenges – Whether you’re facing difficulties in your personal relationships or struggling with self-esteem, I can help you explore ways to reconnect and move forward.
• Major life transitions – Whether it’s a career shift, a genetic diagnosis, or a new chapter in your life, I provide guidance to help you adjust and thrive.

Counselling formats
I offer counselling in a range of formats to suit your individual needs, including face-to-face sessions in central Manchester and remote sessions via telephone or Zoom at flexible times.
I understand that traditional counselling may feel daunting or may not always be the right fit for everyone. If you’re looking for a different approach, I also provide shorter coaching or ‘check-in’ sessions, as well as support through email or text-based communication.
If you’re unsure about what would work best for you, I’d be happy to discuss your options and create a personalised support plan that meets your needs. Feel free to get in touch to explore the best way forward.
My first session
Finding the right therapist is an important step, and I want to ensure you feel comfortable and supported from the start. That’s why I offer a free initial consultation, lasting 20-30 minutes, via telephone or video call.
This gives us the opportunity to discuss your needs, explore what you’re looking for in therapy, and help you gain a sense of my approach. It’s also a chance to ask any questions you may have and see if we’re the right fit to work together.
There’s absolutely no obligation to continue after this consultation. If, for any reason, I feel another service or therapist may be better suited to your needs, I’ll be happy to offer guidance on alternative options.
When you feel ready to take the next step, please get in touch to arrange your consultation. This is the first step towards understanding how we can best work together to support your well-being.
