About me and my therapy practice

If you feel overwhelmed, alone, and trapped in a cycle where one worry is quickly replaced by another and your mind rarely gets a moment to rest, you don't have to work it out all on your own. It is exhausting trying to keep everything going by yourself, especially when you are stuck thinking, "I’m anxious, and I don’t even know why."

Perhaps you’ve spent a long time putting everyone else first, but right now is the time to start thinking about you. Choosing therapy is a way to finally invest your time, energy, and resources into your own well-being—because you deserve a life that feels lighter.

I’m Jamie, and I’m here to help you unpack all of this. Together, we’ll work out what’s going on.

I offer a thoughtful, down-to-earth, and conversational space where we can safely look at those heavy or painful feelings, always moving at a pace that feels entirely right for you. To help you take that first step without any pressure, I offer a complimentary 20-minute initial phone consultation so we can chat and see if we are a good fit.

Practice description

I work exclusively online via a secure video platform, making therapy safe, convenient, and accessible to individuals right across the UK.

My practice is deeply informed by psychodynamic therapy. This means we don't just look at the surface; we gently explore the patterns in how you think and feel, including how past experiences may still be unconsciously shaping your anxiety today.

To make the therapy process as transparent and low-pressure as possible, I work in three clear stages:

The Connection: A complimentary 20-minute initial chat to see if we are a good fit.

The Test Drive: A 4-week trial period to experience how my approach actually works for you, without feeling locked in.

The Deep Work: Ongoing weekly therapy aimed at creating lasting, deeply rooted change.

My first session

Our very first step together is a complimentary, 20-minute phone or online consultation (no charge). This is a gentle, informal space for you to share what you're looking for, ask any questions about how I work, and ensure we feel like a good match before you commit to anything.

If we decide to move forward, we will begin our first session together:

Session 1: The Extended Consultation (60 to 90 minutes / £80)

Because this is our first step, we have extra time so we can comfortably look at the bigger picture of what's going on for you, without anyone feeling rushed or pressured.

A Shared Partnership: This session is a collaborative space. If you feel ready to unpack what's been happening right away, we will dive into it together. If you prefer to take things more slowly, we can do that too. We will work as a team to map out what you are facing, ensuring we explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and entirely right for you as we begin our initial four weeks of work.
