About me and my therapy practice
I am a Person-Centred counsellor/psychotherapist based in Greater Manchester. I offer online sessions, on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Counselling may be short or long-term, depending on what works for you.
Life experiences and circumstances can cause distress and anxiety that can be difficult to cope with. Counselling provides a safe space to help you explore your thoughts and feelings, offer fresh perspectives and consider your options. I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space, where we can address whatever is troubling you. I will work with you in a way that will support, empower and gently challenge you, allowing you to deepen your self-awareness and find positive ways forward.
Practice description
Sessions will be tailored to accommodate your individual needs. By offering sessions online, I can provide you with a convenient way to fit therapy into your weekly routine, from the comfort of your own home.
I have worked with clients in a variety of settings, including Women’s Centres; Mental Health charities and University Counselling Centres. I have worked on programmes supporting people affected by addiction and gambling harms. I have also worked extensively with people experiencing complex grief and currently work for a bereavement charity based in Liverpool.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and conduct sessions within the BACP Ethical Framework and in line with BACP guidelines. I have completed an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am committed to enhancing my practice with regular supervision, workshops and training.
My first session
I offer a free initial telephone consultation, of up to 30 minutes. This gives us the opportunity to explore your goals for therapy and to see if working together would be beneficial. It also allows you to ask any questions you may have. This is a relaxed and informal chat, with no obligation to proceed with counselling.
