About me and my therapy practice
Do you find yourself repeating the same patterns in relationships, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, or struggling with changes in your life?
Perhaps you understand, on one level, why you feel the way you do, but still find yourself caught in familiar emotions or situations. You may be finding relationships difficult, feeling disconnected from yourself, or trying to manage everything while feeling overwhelmed inside.
I offer a warm, thoughtful and confidential space where you can begin to make sense of what you are experiencing, without feeling judged or needing to have all the answers.
I am a psychodynamic therapist with experience supporting adults, young people and families across therapeutic, social care and university settings. My background includes working with foster and adoptive families, bereavement services and student wellbeing.
My approach is psychodynamic and relational. Together, we explore how your past experiences, relationships and emotions may be influencing your present life. Through this process, you can develop a deeper understanding of yourself, recognise recurring patterns and begin to find new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship and family difficulties, bereavement, trauma, questions of identity and significant life transitions. My experience in fostering and adoption also informs my understanding of attachment, belonging and the lasting impact of early relationships.
Where appropriate, I draw on creative approaches, including images, to support reflection and expression when words alone feel difficult.
I offer online therapy and face-to-face sessions in High Barnet, North London, in both English and Italian. We can explore together whether therapy with me feels right for you.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. You can start with whatever is bringing you here today.
Practice description
I offer both long and short-term therapy either via Zoom or in person from my consulting rooms in High Barnet, North London.
My therapy room is in Chipping Barnet. This location is conveniently within a short driving distance from Hadley Wood, East Barnet, New Barnet, Finchley, Borehamwood, Cuffley, Potters Bar, and other parts of North London and Hertfordshire. Several bus routes service the High Street, and High Barnet Tube Station (Northern Line) is just a 10-minute walk away.
My first session
I provide a free 30-minute initial phone consultation, which provides you the space to tell me about your concerns, personal circumstances and ask any questions. Together, we will see if I am the right person to help you.
Following this, we will meet for a full consultation meeting where we will discuss an agreement to meet at the same time, each week for 50 minutes either in person or using an online platform.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP) and I abide by the BACP code. I hold an enhanced DBS check.
