About me and my therapy practice

I help my clients find contentment and awareness by equipping them with the tools they need to understand themselves better and approach life authentically.

Imagine being able to approach life with confidence and without your past constantly pushing into your present.

I believe that, at your core, you have a sense that how you are living now isn't how you want to live forever. Working together we uncover the source of your discontent. Using an approach that is customised to your individual needs and goals I help you to gain clarity and understanding of why the way you are living isn't working anymore and how you can find peace within yourself.

Many of today’s solutions for mental health concerns are one size fits all approaches focussed on adjusting your present experience without addressing the reasons from the past. Leading so many to feel better initially, but finding themselves discouraged when old issues resurface. I know you are unique so I tailor our together to meet your needs, always focussed on your goals for the work.

First we name and hold space for how you are feeling now, acknowledging the function it serves in your daily life, even though it feels like all it does is limit you. Then we look at why you are feeling this way to begin with, identifying when these feelings or coping mechanisms arrived and why they’ve stayed. Through our work together you will walk a path toward wholeness, integrating your life’s story, making peace with the difficult bits, celebrating the joys, dwelling in the place you find yourself now.

Practice description

I am dedicated to helping you live authentically.

My training in integrative counselling means I have the expertise you need and deserve when addressing you as a whole person. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who understands what it means to be a perfectionist struggling with needing to always get it ‘right.’

My own life experience of overcoming anxiety and perfectionism means I know how much you desire change and how disorientated you feel in finding the help you need. You are used to making things happen and find yourself grasping for familiar behaviours but they are no longer working. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.

Working either online or face-to-face we will meet either fortnightly or weekly for as long as it is helpful for you.

I work generally with clients of all backgrounds and with a wide variety of needs including anxiety, depression, grief, anger, parenting, sexual issues and trauma.

My specialities include perfectionism, life transitions (particularly the ex-pat experience) and the role of the menstrual cycle on mood.

For Couples:

You may have a sense that things are not currently working as you’d like OR that things could be better than they are. You may have a significant decision to make, feel your relationship has come to its natural end but want to end well, or you may simply feel you want to find the excitement and fun again.

Relationship Therapy offers a safe, judgment free space for you to explore your relationship with the guidance of an experienced counsellor. As we explore the issues you are bringing together you will also learn new tools and skills for relating to one another and communicating together, helping to ensure each partner is able to feel heard and have their needs met.
