About me and my therapy practice

I understand that life can be a challenging journey, no matter what stage of life you're at. From childhood to adulthood, we all face a range of difficulties such as grief, anxiety, depression, and struggles with identity. These challenges can leave you feeling overwhelmed and isolated.

That's why I'm here to offer you a supportive and empathetic space through Person Centred Counselling, Therapeutic Hypnotherapy, and children and adolescent therapy. My approach to counselling is to provide a non-judgmental and safe environment where you can feel heard and understood. Whatever you are going through, you don't have to face it alone. As a counsellor, my goal is to support and guide you on your journey towards healing and growth.

I work with a charitable organisation for the NHS, a primary school and have my own independent practice based in Birkdale, Southport. I offer therapeutic sessions for adults, young people, and children. I understand that life can be busy, so my sessions are flexible to suit you. These can be in person, online, or over the phone.

Contact me today to start your journey towards healing and growth - together, we can work towards finding effective ways to cope with life's challenges and creating a brighter future.

Practice description

I offer my genuine warmth, non-judgmental understanding, empathy, and acceptance. We will work together to focus on what's important to you, at your pace, in a direction that feels comfortable and effective. I offer a free introductory call to discuss your concerns and goals, as well as answer any questions you may have about counselling.

I understand that seeking help can be daunting, but please know that you're in safe hands. With diverse experience in teaching, forest school leadership, psychology and counselling, I bring a wealth of knowledge and empathy to our sessions.

For children and young people

When seeking support for your child or teenager, it is important to know that the counsellor is suitably qualified to work with that age group. I have worked as a primary school teacher, a forest school leader and I am trained in mindfulness and meditation for children, as well as children’s yoga. My work involves providing emotional and therapeutic support to build children's resilience through talking, creative work, and play. Counselling offers young people a safe space to discuss and work through anything they may be struggling with. I have enhanced DBS clearance, currently work as a counsellor in a primary school and have worked for a well-known children's charity.

Counselling offers young people a safe space to discuss and work through anything they may be struggling with. Some examples of how counselling can help include coping with everyday worries, managing exam stress, bereavement, moving house/school, parents separation, identity issues, bullying, difficulties at school and overcoming relationship issues with friends, family and teachers. Counselling can also help with self-harm concerns, grief, depression and anxiety, and learning difficulties, to name a few. But, if something is making your child unhappy, however small you or they feel it is, know that it is important.
