Features

Availability

I work within Tunbridge Wells /Sevenoaks area for face to face clients. I have limited availability (Tuesday and Thursday evenings) in my private practice as I also work as a school counsellor.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, specialising in working with Children and Young people. I work as a School Counsellor and in my Private Practice.  I have experience of supporting CYP's with a range of presentations including: anxiety, low mood, depression, bereavement, self-harm, OCD, identity and neurodiverse conditions such as autism and ADHD.

I believe that given the appropriate circumstances and support, all individuals have the opportunity to flourish.

As a Person Centred Therapist my sessions with children and young people are largely child led. I provide a non-judgemental space and the opportunity  for the CYP to explore what is going on for them, without expectation or judgement. Feeling heard and understood can help us all make sense of our lives and empower us to make changes and build resilience. Together we can find a way to move forward.

Practice description

With children, I work face to face as they can find the nuances of online meetings confusing and I use play and creative tools in my sessions. I am trained to offer sessions online and this is an option where children may be unable to attend face to face sessions through illness.

I work as a School Counsellor in two local Prep schools. I have over twenty five years experience, supporting children's emotional wellbeing in the education system. I completed my early training with Place2Be and am trained as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.

I have extensive experience of working with children and young people.

I have volunteered in a counselling capacity at a Drop in Cancer Centre with adults and am qualified as a Cruse Bereavement volunteer.
