About me and my therapy practice
Are you ready to go deeper in therapy - not just to get by, but to understand, heal, and change?
Many of the clients I work with have tried to make sense of things on their own, or found that previous approaches didn't quite reach the root of what's keeping them stuck. They come to therapy seeking a space where they can slow down, feel genuinely understood, and begin to connect more deeply with themselves - in their relationships, their sense of self, and their responses to the world around them.
I'm a BACP accredited integrative counsellor, and psychologist. I work with adults navigating a wide range of difficulties: relationship patterns and conflict, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, identity, emotional dysregulation, and those who simply want to grow and return to themselves. I offer individual therapy, EMDR, and couples therapy.
I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is at the heart of change. My role is not to fix or direct, but to be a steady, warm, curious, attentive, boundaried but compassionate presence facilitating deeper exploration through thoughtful challenges as you make sense of your own experience and find your way forward. I engage in regular clinical supervision and continued professional development, including specialist training in EMDR, EFT (Emotion-Focused Therapy) and relational trauma.
Practice description
My approach is rooted in primarily humanistic (person-centred), experiential (Emotion-Focused Therapy [EFT]) and trauma-informed (EMDR) approaches, woven together with psychodynamic, transactional analysis, somatic and systemic thinking. In practice, this means:
I begin by helping you (you as an individual or a couple) slow things down and tune into what's happening in the moment, so we can really understand your experience as it unfolds.
Together, we then identify the patterns that might be keeping you stuck - especially in how you relate to yourself or others.
From there, I support you to safely access and explore the deeper emotions, history and meanings underneath the surface reactions, helping them to become clearer and more manageable.
In the session, we then work on trusting and expressing those emotions and needs in new, more helpful and healthy ways - such as finding your voice, setting boundaries, reaching for support and more.
If you have distressing or disruptive memories, these can be processed with EMDR so that recalling them no longer affects your present-day life.
Finally, we integrate these new experiences so you can begin to respond differently in your life and relationships beyond therapy, creating lasting change.
