About me and my therapy practice

It can be a courageous act to even begin to look up counsellors and try to find a way through whatever has brought you to this page right now. Hello, I'm Alice, welcome to my page. Here you can find out a little about me and see if you feel like I might be a good fit for you.

I believe every person is the expert in their own life. Together we can explore the circumstances that are feeling difficult for you, with space to reflect, hear yourself think and take a deeper look at what might be behind what's happening for you. I won't tell you what to do, but I will help you to find your own insights and clarity to move forwards with.  I offer a warm, non-judgmental and empathetic space, to support you on the journey of deeper self understanding, with compassion for whatever has brought you here and full belief that we can find your way through it.

I work holistically to fully understand what's going on for you. Together we can look at the full picture of your life, past, present, future, your inner thoughts and feelings and the circumstances surrounding you. We can explore the ways you usually cope with difficulties, how you've come to view yourself, and what might help moving forward. We can do this at your own pace and we can talk together about the process between us to tailor our sessions to your individual needs.

I believe in applying compassion and understanding to your current circumstances rather than self-criticism. Fresh perspectives can form through a deeper understanding of yourself and greater self awareness. 'Change occurs when one becomes what they are, not when they try to become what they are not' - Arnold Beisser.

Practice description

I offer online and telephone sessions across the country and face to face sessions in Kings Heath, Birmingham. Please let me know if you have any accessibility needs so we can make sure we have a suitable space.

My first session

If you've read this far and are wondering if we might be a good fit to work together, you can call, text or email me on the contact details on this page.

I offer a free twenty minute initial chat where I can answer any questions you have and you can tell me a little about yourself and what you are looking for. If we feel like we'd be a good fit to work together we will then plan in our first session.
