About me and my therapy practice

I offer an empathic, safe and honest space for you to explore whatever you bring and whatever you discover. It’s your journey, my role is to be at your side as you make it.

I am qualified in Integrative counselling and psychotherapy (FdA), Gestalt counselling (BSc hons) and am currently completing an MSc in Art Psychotherapy.

With both my lived and professional experience of neurodiversity, this means that I have skills which are adaptable for supporting the rich and individual diversity that clients bring.

I am experienced at working with all ages and genders.

I have a background of working in SEND education, safeguarding (county lines, prevent & Channel) and and extensive experience of working with young adults and teens.

I am both a member of the BACP and a student member of BAAT, adhering to their ethical guidelines.

Sessions are your time; to say, ask and explore what you need to, no judgement and with transparent honesty and clarity.

Practice description

My practice brings together different modalities; Integrative, Core Gestalt principles and Psychodynamic Art Therapy theory.

All of these mean you can expect me to sit with what you bring to each session, sometimes this is what people need, to have a confidential place to vent and unpack life, sometimes we will have agreed the things you want to be different or understand more. we will work together in the way that best suits you to meet your goals and needs. We might sit and talk, we might use objects and metaphors or we might use mark making to allow the parts of you that can not find words to express and explore. There will be no form filling past our first session and no homework unless requested by you.

My role is  to be your guide, your mirror and a safe place as you unpick the things that you want to have a better awareness of and maybe or maybe not, change.

My first session

I and everyone at The Divergent space offer a free 15 minute meeting.

Following that, or first session will be to contract what we can expect from each other. To explore what you bring to therapy and to get to know each other.

All sessions are 50 minutes long unless otherwise agreed and an invoice will be sent out 24 hours before or on the day.
