About me and my therapy practice
I am a warm, perceptive and caring counsellor. Who will work with you in a friendly, supportive and professional relationship. Listening to you through your own feelings and thoughts. Without judgement, allowing you to feel accepted, just as you are.
My background is in Hospice care, including supporting carers and those bereaved from a death of a loved one. Including complex grief, involving sudden or unexpected death. I have supported individuals of all ages around grief and loss which appears in our lives in many different forms. Including pet bereavement, work related issues, relationship breakups, empty nest, family issues and dynamics, or finding yourself alone after being widowed.
I have also supported both Adults and Young people with anxiety, panic attacks, low mood, depression, relationship problems, ADHD and neurodivergence.
Talking to someone and sharing in confidence without judgement, can be really helpful. At times it can feel hard to ask for support. But reaching out and working through the safety of the therapeutic relationship, we can address difficulties together and understand how life can be more fulfilling for you.
Counselling may appear as a daunting experience. Often, in reality, it can feel very different, like a conversation, where we will talk and explore your difficulties together. At times, there may be tears but also, we may laugh at different things. Knowing you are not alone during these distressing times can be comforting.
I am a qualified and experienced Integrative Therapist. Trained in a range of therapeutic approaches, which allows me to bring a wealth of knowledge and flexibility to our work together. I can tailor sessions to your individual needs, and together we can explore ways to make life more fulfilling, helping you experience it in a happier and healthier way.
Practice description
My practice is based online via Google Meet or by telephone, providing flexible counselling sessions and support to clients throughout the UK.
Counselling is allowing time for ourselves in a safe and confidential environment, which in today’s world can be hard to find. I often think of this time as self-care and a commitment to our inner-self, recharging our mental fitness.
Often thoughts, feelings and emotions can become overwhelming and we need support to understand what it is we want. I offer a calm and reflective space where we will always work at your pace and in your time, allowing you to feel heard, understood and accepted.
