About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified integrative counsellor and child and adolescent psychotherapist, working with adults, teenagers, young people, as well as parents and families. I offer a supportive and confidential space where you can explore whatever you may be struggling with at your own pace.
My approach is grounded in person-centred values, meaning that you are at the heart of the work. I aim to build a safe, trusting relationship where you feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgement.
I work in an integrative way, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs. This may include exploring current difficulties, understanding patterns in relationships, or making sense of past experiences and how they continue to affect you.
Alongside individual therapy, I also work with parents and families, offering a reflective space to think about relationships, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
I understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I aim to offer a calm, containing environment where you can begin to make sense of your experiences and feel supported in creating meaningful change.
Practice description
In our work together, you can expect me to be present, engaged, and genuine. I offer a grounded and relational approach, where I won’t simply sit back and observe, but will actively work alongside you to explore what’s going on in your life.
While I create a safe, containing space for reflection, I also bring a level of openness and directness to the work. This means I may gently challenge you, offer observations, or help you make connections that support deeper understanding and clarity.
I work integratively, and where appropriate, I draw on coaching-informed techniques to help you not only reflect on your experiences but also consider how you might move forward. This can support you in making meaningful changes, rather than feeling stuck in past patterns.
Above all, I aim to offer a collaborative space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to make sense of your experiences and move towards a way of living that feels more manageable and fulfilling.
My first session
Our first session is a gentle introduction, where we can begin to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you might be finding difficult, and what you hope to gain from the process. It’s also a space for you to get a sense of how I work and to decide whether you feel comfortable moving forward together.
