About me and my therapy practice
I am a person-centred integrative psychodynamic psychotherapeutic counsellor offering both short- and long-term therapy. With over a decade of experience, I provide a warm, genuine, and non-judgemental space where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships, and life experiences at your own pace.
I have extensive experience working with trauma, the impact of childhood experiences, emotional, sexual, and narcissistic abuse, as well as issues relating to identity, self-esteem, boundaries, anger, anxiety, grief, loss, chronic illness, mortality fears, and major life transitions. I specialise in supporting women and have a particular interest in neurodiversity.
I have also worked extensively with carers, including those supporting loved ones living with depression, chronic illness, disability, dementia, and other long-term conditions. I understand the complex emotional impact that caring responsibilities can have on wellbeing and relationships.
My background in art and music informs my creative and flexible approach to therapy. Clients often describe me as warm, honest, and down-to-earth. I welcome people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, relationship styles, and backgrounds, and aim to offer an affirming space where you can bring your whole self.
I recognise that our emotional lives are shaped not only by our personal histories and relationships but also by the wider social, economic, and cultural pressures we live within. Therapy can offer a space to make sense of these experiences and support meaningful, lasting change.
I offer a sliding scale and currently have a limited number of spaces available.
