About me and my therapy practice
Is life proving to be a challenge for you currently? Does the thought of therapy fill you with dread? I can help you with this in a safe, confidential & non-judgemental space - where you can talk about whatever is distressing or preventing you from living life to your fullest potential. I will provide the conditions and support with which we can unpick whatever you are struggling with to help you realise a more positive and healthier way of being.
I use an integrative approach which is based in a person centred modality blending in aspects of humanistic, psychodynamic, Gestalt, CBT and solution based therapies - as and where appropriate.
I work with Service Level C clients with a wide range of presenting issues including anger, anxiety (including social anxiety and generalised anxiety), bereavement, BPD, child-related issues, Disassociative Disorder, infertility, OCD, PTSD, pregnancy-related issues, redundancy, schizophrenia, stress, trauma. Work related concerns.
I am qualified to work with anyone aged 16yrs and above.
I provide open-ended and short term therapy in person in my garden therapy room, or online, or a hybrid of both.
Practice description
As no two people are the same, I provide sessions specifically tailored to each client. Each 50 minute session is client-led, placing the client firmly as the expert in their own story. I will provide the environment, support and encouragement for all my clients to do work which will have an eventual positive impact for them
My foundation training is integrative based in the person centred modality and I blend other modalities as and when required or appropriate.
If you think you would like me to take these first steps to better mental health with you - please give me a no-commitment call for a free of charge 15 min chat.
My first session
Our first contact will be a free of charge chat which will last no more than 20 minutes.

Practice description
Supervision is a cornerstone of all ethical and effective counselling and psychotherapy practices. It safeguards clients and provides a vital space for therapists to explore challenges, enhance their skills, and maintain their well-being. I provide structure, guidance, and reflective support focused on both therapists professional development and the care they provide to clients.
CLINICAL OVERSIGHT & SAFETY - I will support you to ensure your practice meets ethical and professional standards, by assessing risk, managing boundaries, and maintaining client safety to ensure appropriate practice. I will model professional boundaries and promote self-care.
REFLECTIVE & EMOTIONAL SUPPORT – by providing space to process emotional reactions to clients and clinical situations, I will help you to recognize patterns, triggers, or biases that might affect your work.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT – I will guide you in applying theory to practice and expanding your therapeutic repertoire. I provide constructive feedback on techniques and communication
PROFESSIONAL GROWTH & SELF-AWARENESS – I will encourage you to explore your professional identity, values, and areas for growth , whilst challenging you to look at accountability and self-reflection as effective therapeutic tools. As you grow in confidence my role will become less directive and more collaborative.
ADMINISTRATIVE or EVALUATIVE FUNCTION (in some settings) – If your work is within an agency or you are a trainee, supervision may include performance reviews (if requested), compliance checks, documentation audits, and adherence to organisational policies.
A healthy supervision relationship should feel supportive, challenging - in a constructive way -, and grounded in mutual respect. I provide a space which enhances all these whilst allowing my clients to feel safe to admit uncertainty and receive both affirmation and constructive critical feedback.
My first session
Prior to our first session we will have had a telephone conversation (max 20 mins) which is free of charge. This will allow both parties to feel that we are the right match for each other. The relationship we develop will be integral in ensuring that my client's work can be done effectively and ethically, so it is vital that we both feel we can work together effectively.
A Contract is then sent to the client which is required to be completed and returned prior to our first session. At this time, the client is also asked to send a copy of the Contract they use with their own clients, either in private practice or within the agency which they work.
Confirmation of the session along with invoice for payment of fees is then sent to the client three days prior to our session (allowing for the 48hr cancellation fee within the Contract).
Our first session will mainly focus on the therapist themselves; what their modality is, where they are working (private practice or within an agency), etc. We will also discuss their preferred method of supervison, and what their goals for supervision are. Initially working with the 7 Eye'd Model of Supervison I can obtain information about the client themselves and their support network, before we then look at an overview of their client work. Depending on the time booked for this first session (either 45 minutes twice a month or 90 minutes once a month) the client can then bring their own client work into session for us to process, reflect and discuss.
