About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Lucy and I’m a BACP registered psychodynamic therapist based in Ridgewood, Uckfield. I see adult clients online and in-person in my peaceful garden room.

You might be struggling with the change in season, darker days and the approach of Christmas. This time of year can bring up difficult feelings of anxiety and or depression. Relationship problems can appear heightened. The impact of grief and loss might be more noticeable at this time of year.

I am taking on new clients, please feel free to contact me about starting your therapy journey in the new year.

Reaching out for therapy can be a daunting process. It’s important to find the right therapist, that’s why I offer a free initial 30-minute session either in person, online or via telephone.

I will provide a warm, welcoming, confidential and safe space for you to explore what is on your mind and troubling you. We will work together to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and worries and thoughts can be shared.

By looking at experiences from our childhood and how they impact us as adults, we can notice patterns in our behaviours and gain some control over them to help us feel more comfortable as we are today. I will be alongside you to support you on your journey, together we can start to make sense of what is going on for you in the here and now.

My practice is 30 minutes’ drive from Brighton and Eastbourne, on a main bus route and with private free parking.

My first session

If you think that I might be the right therapist for you, please feel free to contact me to arrange a free 30-minute meeting. This no obligation initial meeting online or via telephone will give us a chance to see if we would like to work together.

During the first session we will explore what brings you to therapy at this time and what you would like to work on. It’s a chance to get to know each other and for me to talk about the way that I work and for you to ask me any questions you may have.
