About me and my therapy practice
With over a decade of experience in mental health, I have supported hundreds of clients on their journey of healing and self-discovery. Over the past six years, I’ve nurtured a thriving private practice, delivering over 5,000 hours of one-to-one therapy both in person and online.
People come to me who are feeling overwhelmed by modern day life and often turning to self sabotaging behaviours as a way of coping. Life can be challenging, things do not always work out the way we may have planned with everyday issues and stresses easily becoming unmanageable. We all need support at some point in our lives to overcome problems, counselling can provide you with clarity and guidance as together we can explore whatever may be troubling you.
Practice description
I work from an integrative approach recognising the paradox of clients wanting some form of guidance and direction. This style allows me to adapt in accordance with your needs. There is no one size fits all to therapy, I see each person as unique and aim to be fluid and responsive to that by combing techniques to benefit you. Sometimes that looks like practical tools and psycho education, and other times it may include deeper reflective or spiritual work.
I have a particular interest in inner child healing and attachment theory. Inner child work can be deeply restorative, helping us to meet wounded parts of ourselves with compassion, releasing feelings of shame and guilt, and rediscovering joy. Exploring your attachment styles can bring insight into how you relate to others and offers new ways of feeling more secure in relationships and within ourselves.
I know that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, I’ve been there myself. I welcome you to get in touch fore a free 15 minute phone or video chat where I can answer any questions you have. There is no obligation to commit, its an opportunity to establish if I am the right fit for you. I view the relationship between client and therapist as the most important factor for healing to unfold. I place great important in ensuring that you are made to feel safe and comfortable in my presence. Therapy with me is a space to feel truly seen and understood.
I am experienced supporting people with Anxiety, depression, low self esteem, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, Sexual abuse, domestic abuse and chronic illness.
