About me and my therapy practice
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step—but you don’t have to face things alone. I offer a calm, safe and supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind, without fear of judgement.
You might be struggling with something from your past, challenges in your relationships, or difficulties in your current situation. Together, we can gently explore what’s going on for you—whether that’s grief and bereavement, anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, or relationship concerns.
Practice description
Life can be challenging, and at times we all need extra support. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to turn, counselling can offer a space to pause, reflect, and begin to make sense of things.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting. That’s why I focus on building a trusting and supportive relationship at your pace—so you feel comfortable sharing what matters most to you.
Whatever you’re going through is unique to you. I will always treat your experiences with care, respect, and sensitivity, helping you feel heard, understood, and valued.
My first session
From our very first contact—usually by email or phone—I aim to make you feel at ease. We’ll have a free 15 minute informal conversation where I will ask a few questions to better understand what is bringing you to counselling. Of course, you’re also very welcome to ask me any questions about how I work.
Your first full session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a sense of trust. We’ll start by gently exploring what has brought you to counselling and what you might like to gain from it. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—you can go at your own pace and only talk about what feels comfortable.
The first session is also a chance for you to get a feel for whether I’m the right counsellor for you. Feeling comfortable and supported is important, and there’s no obligation to continue if it doesn’t feel like the right fit.
Above all, my aim is for you to leave the session feeling heard, respected, and supported.
