About me and my therapy practice
Peter Allan (MBACP) - Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic Skills and Theory; Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Hello, my name is Peter and I am qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, and Person-Centred counsellor who can also work as an Integrative counsellor.
I have a warm, approachable nature and can offer you a safe and confidential space to explore your innermost thoughts and feelings.
Therapy can be a big step, but I am here to stand side-by-side with you in empathy, warmth and compassion. I will therapeutically work at your pace as we explore what you bring to the session.
I use counselling skills to support you as we work together to bring greater understanding to your life experiences. This takes place within a non-judgemental environment and my aim is to help you move through your pain to become more functional, self-aware and emotionally grounded.
Our work together provides a starting point for you to process your life experiences, move from past emotions into what is going on for you in the here-and-now, with the aim to become the person you want to be.
