About me and my therapy practice
Hi there -I'm wondering what's brought you here. Maybe it's anxiety, or feeling stressed/generally overwhelmed? Whatever it is, you are not alone. I help people work through these difficult feelings that can be hard to name and express, but by working together my aim is to help you feel more grounded, confident and able to manage life's many challenges.
Therapy is a journey and takes time , but it can be life changing, as it was for me, and I feel passionate about enabling my clients go through a similar process, to know themselves better and build confidence and self-worth which can make such a difference when faced with all the things life throws at us - in the here and now, and from the past.
We all need to feel heard. I see clients for many different issues so do contact me and let me know what it is you are feeling . Counselling can feel very daunting but you've taken the first step.
Practice description
I work differently depending on what you bring and need, making the experience individual to you or you as a couple.
I can see you in person or online, depending on what suits you best.
In addition to many of the issues that come through the door, through my previous career in the NHS , I also have experience in the challenges of parenting , as well as supporting parents who have children with chronic illness , or conditions which are life threatening or life limiting.
Currently I also work in a charity counselling pregnant and new mothers who may be struggling with postnatal anxiety or depression or being a new mum and all that brings with it.
If any of this feels familiar to you and you need someone to talk to please do contact me and let's face those challenges together .
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute telephone or Zoom call by way of introduction and to see if this feels right for you. This is an opportunity for you to see how it feels before booking a first session, and if I can offer you what you may need.
If we agree to go forwards, we can plan our first session. I do a short assessment in this session which is to get to know you a little better and get a feel for how we can work together to best support you.
