My name is Nicola, and I am a MBACP registered and qualified counsellor based in Cardiff, however I will see clients from all over the UK via zoom and telephone. As a registered member of the BACP I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for counsellors. I am fully insured and hold an up-to-date Enhanced DBS. My practice is registered with the ICO and is compliant with GDPR regulations.

I came to this role late in life and it has enabled to bring with me years of life experience, care and understanding. As a mature person I can offer you my experience as well my learning.

My diploma allows me to work with a range of issues using a variety of counselling models, this means that I can work with clients to find the therapeutic practice that works best for them. I offer a safe therapeutic space to work on whatever you may need.

We all have difficulties sometime in our life, it can be very hard to deal with these issues alone, I offer a safe space for you to sit with someone without any advice or judgement and confidentiality will be adhered to.

I am trained in Person-Centred therapy, and I believe that you are the expert on yourself being your true self and living authentically can lead to a fulfilling and complete life. I don't diagnose or give advice, but work with persons as a unique individual and work with you to tailor sessions to suit your specific needs. I also offer Rewind Therapy to help with trauma.

I specialise in bereavement, loss, pre-bereavement and dementia, I work with people who have been affected by suicide, traumatic and sudden death. 

I work with children and young people who are dealing with bereavement and loss. 

I work online via zoom and telephone, I also offer in-person from my counselling room in the Cardiff area accessible and with parking. My in-person room is a private space.

I will use an approach to work out what works best for you. I firmly believe the relationship between the client and counsellor is important which is why I offer a free 20 minute consultation via phone to get to know each other and see if you think we are a good fit to work together. 

After that my sessions are 50 minutes at a time. I work online on the phone or face to face whichever suits your needs. Sessions are priced at £45 per 50 minute session.

I offer concession rates for Students, NHS, Cardiff Council Employee's, Senior Citizens and those who claim benefits. Proof of these will be needed.
