About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Bushra and welcome to my page.

I am a therapist helping people from diverse backgrounds explore and understand how they live and find ways that are more satisfying.

I offer long term or short term weekly sessions depending on your needs. Sessions can be in person, online, or a mixture of both. I offer a free online consultation initially upon enquiry. This is to take details of your circumstances and also gives us the opportunity to see whether we can work together.

Practice description

It takes courage to reach out and I welcome the opportunity to help you on your journey.

Most of us will be affected by anxiety, depression, stress, loss, bereavement, trauma, amongst many others at some point in our lives. Some people will be affected from an early point whilst others much later in life. It can feel very isolating to go through personal emotional struggles and not have anyone to talk to. Someone whom we feel we can trust and not be judged by when sharing our ‘stories’.

I am a psychotherapist trained in the Person-Centred Approach modality. My work is rooted in lived experiences, compassion and being non-judgemental. The role I take is to walk alongside you and listen with empathy, understanding and curiosity. The process is facilitated by not being directive or telling you what you 'should' or 'should not' do but through gentle, mutual exploration so that you find the solutions which are right for you. A self-healing process by providing a safe and empowering environment. Together we can create that space which feels safe and supportive for you.

I also offer therapeutic art interventions alongside traditional talk therapy, for clients who wish to explore feelings non-verbally. This is backed by recent CPD training.

Helping people from diverse backgrounds to explore, understand and find ways that are more satisfying.

I have a Diploma in Person-Centred Approach Psychotherapy and Counselling and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Over my career, I have worked in a variety of settings including volunteering at a non-profitable charity organisation and alcoholics in recovery reach out centre as well as my private practice.

I adhere to the BACP ethical framework, have regular supervision and focus on continuing personal and professional development.
