About me and my therapy practice

I am a trained Person-Centred Counsellor which means that I believe that there is only one expert on you, and that is yourself. I will work closely with you to find a unique solution tailored just for you, that helps you to achieve your desired results. I also have training and experiences outside of the Person-Centred approach which give me access to tools and techniques which I can call upon to assist you in find a way forward if necessary.

I have a great deal of experience working with people with all manner of issues but have a particular strength in working with individuals that have suicidal thoughts, anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, have anger issues, have been bereaved (particularly by suicide), have suffered traumas, experience PTSD or complex PTSD and people that have experienced domestic abuse and or domestic violence.

Practice description

I offer a safe and confidential environment to allow you to talk openly and honestly, free of judgement to explore issues that you are experiencing and to help you adapt and cope with the things that life can throw at you. Amongst other things, I can work with you to:

Find hope, optimism and a path to happiness and fulfilment.

Find out what has been holding you back if this isn’t already known.

Find out how to move on and really begin to heal from past issues and traumas.

Find out how to begin to love and trust yourself to make the right decisions.

Help you to manage unwanted thoughts and feelings.

Help you develop strategies necessary for you to deal with the inevitable stresses and life events that will challenge you on you path through life.
