About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP registered humanistic trauma informed psychotherapist with experience in working with depression, anxiety, self harm, suicidal ideation, attachment, trauma and PTSD.

It's a big step to decide to go to counselling, and I imagine that some amount of suffering has brought you here.

It takes courage and strength to be able to share your experiences, pain and insecurities with someone.

I am dedicated to providing my clients with a safe, warm, and empathic space where you can gain clarity, self awareness and resilience.

My core qualifications include diplomas in Humanistic Counselling and Attachment Based Psychotherapy. I also hold a certificate in trauma informed psychotherapy.

I have experience in working within the NHS and a number of different charities.

Practice description

Finding a therapist that you feel comfortable with is very important. That is why I offer a free 15 minute consultant appointment in which we can meet (virtually) and to give you a chance to see if we are a good match.

Working as a humanistic therapist means that I am directed by you and where you would like the sessions' focus to be. Every client is different, so I may tailor my approach to suit the needs of you.

Each session will be a safe and compassionate space for you to unpack whatever you feel is needed. As your therapist I would be able to assist you in building self esteem, awareness and resilience. Together, we can work to strengthen your sense of security, build healthier relationships, and support lasting personal growth.

Whether you are experiencing anxiety, relationship difficulties, the impact of trauma, or simply feel stuck in recurring patterns, attachment-based therapy can help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and create meaningful, sustainable change.

My first session

After a initial free consultation, we can arrange our first session. Within the first session, we can discuss your presenting issues and any specific areas which you would like to explore. My main aim in these beginning sessions is to make you feel as comfortable as possible, because I reconise how daunting starting therapy can be.

Towards the end of our first session, and following sessions, I offer clients the opportunity to practice a grounding technique before leaving.  This is optional and individual to each client.
