About me and my therapy practice
I have come to counselling after working with adults, children and young people in mental health, education and housing for over 19 years. I am a qualified and experienced integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (MA).
Whatever brings you here to explore the option of counselling, I am here to offer you a safe space, free of judgements, where you'll be listened to. Together, we can shape this space and work at your own pace.
I have counselling experience in trauma and trauma recovery, neurodiversity, anxiety, depression, addiction, identity, stress, family concerns and relationships. I am dedicated to working inclusively and have experience of supporting neurodiverse, ethnically and culturally diverse individuals.
I can offer support for ages 18+.
Practice description
I am a humanistic, trauma informed and integrative counsellor, which means that I draw on a range of different approaches to explore what works best for you, whilst maintaining a safe space. I include creative aspects and offer nature based 'walk and talk' to aid client's explorations.
Other approaches I draw upon are person- centred (non directive, valuing the individual's experience at the centre of the therapeutic relationship) , psychodynamic (working with past experiences to understand the present), Gestalt (creative approach to explore the present and working with perceptions) and parts work (exploring the different parts of the self).
My first session
I can offer a free 20 minutes initial phone or video call. All sessions booked afterwards are £50 per 50 minutes.
