About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Laura. I support adults and couples to healthily manage symptoms of disconnection, anxiety, depression, low self-confidence, and relational issues within the family. I work with trauma and have quite a few, different tools to help you resolve it.

I have worked as a counsellor within the NHS, before setting up in private practice. I now hire my own private office at Design District in London. I also work via Zoom.

Practice description
I am a professionally trained and trauma-informed Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor using a range of psychotherapeutic theories (including somatic therapy, psychodynamic, gestalt, mindfulness, neuroscience and creative work) which allows me to value the uniqueness of each client.
Additionally, my clients benefit from my training in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Compassionate Inquiry, Internal Family Systems and The Rewind Technique for trauma relief.
Good therapy needs to have a structure, and I use the RIGAAR structure of the Human Givens Institute to help my clients set goals, access resources and rehearse success in therapy together.
I also work creatively, using tools like therapy cards, wooden dolls, coloured pens and paper, to engage both hemispheres of the brain and to help you make sense of what is troubling you and gain insight into what solutions might be available.
My first session
In our first session together, including our introductory call, we will talk about your personal needs from therapy and any goals you can identify. We will assess risk and talk about therapeutic boundaries.
