About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Vaughan and I am a human being. Also, a BACP Accredited psychotherapist and counsellor.
In the early stages of the work with all of my clients, I am very mindful on the importance of getting to know one another.
This foundation is imperative for creating the right space, for you to talk openly, feel heard and understood, without the fear of judgement.
The thought of opening up to a complete stranger can be daunting. I am aware of this, and I endeavour to create a safe and comfortable space, for you to share and explore, at your own pace.
I have many years experience, working across a wide range of areas affecting emotional and psychological wellbeing. This is reflected in my accreditation status. Which is only held by 18.6% of BACP registered therapists!
My belief is that everyone has the right to be heard and understood. Through my own lived life experiences, I have developed an understanding of the complexities and challenges people can face, and I recognise that everyone's journey is unique.
I do not judge from my ‘ivory tower’. Instead, I listen, support, and stay and work with clients, to work through whatever challenges life has dealt. I have a laid back and supportive attitude.
If we change the way we look at things - the things we look at change!
