About me and my therapy practice

Therapy is difficult as it requires you to look at your life and understand how and why you life is the way it is. There could be many reasons as to why you have considered therapy such as relationship breakdown, loss, anxiety. And many reasons why you have thought not to go to therapy such as judgement, change, the unknown. Or simply you don't know what has drawn you to counselling but you feel it could help.

My aim as a counsellor is to make the journey as comfortable as I can for you by offering a safe, accepting and confidential space to explore your issues and concerns at your own pace. With the end goal being that clients lead happy, healthy and informed lives.

Using an integrative counselling approach that concentrates on various therapeutic perspectives, I am able to tailor my method to you.

Training and experience

BSc in Psychology from University of Hull.

Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills From Sutton College.

Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies from Sutton College.

Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from Sutton College.

Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People from Farnborough College of Technology

I have several years experience working in a school based environment in a variety of support roles working with those who are neuro-diverse. I have worked in two charities Sutton Women's centre and Place2be during my training.

I am currently working with the Lucy Rayner foundation and Jigsaw4U as a counsellor.

Practice description

In our first session we will contract together and come to an agreement about what your goal from our sessions will be. Over the course of our sessions, we will review and look at how we are reaching that goal and adapt it if needs be. In my sessions the client leads the conversation as they know their issue and I will talk to you and help you unpick the issue (where it comes from, what might be the cause and whether there is anything in your control to change this issue).

My first session

In our initial session the fee is £55 and normal session fees are £55. In our first session we go through the contracting process (including GDPR/payment/cancellation/etc.) and an assessment to get understanding of you and your goal for coming to therapy.
