Availability

I practice in dedicated therapy rooms in Edinburgh and in Bonnyrigg, midlothian (both with good bus links). I currently have limited availability for in-person indoor clients or therapy within nature (but do run a waitlist). I have some availability for online therapy.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer an open, safe and accepting space to sift through your difficult experiences, thoughts and feelings. My clients say I provide a grounded, caring and responsive space that helps them to talk about what has been happening. I will listen carefully to you and work with you to help you explore your own story and feelings, in all their messiness and difficulty. Hopefully to help you feel less alone in it all.

I fundamentally offer a space for you to be you, where you can to feel your own emotions and experiences such that together we can make some sense of the pain and hurt. My hope for you will be that, in time, you will find yourself able to emerge more freely into your own life, relationships and aspirations.

Practice description

I provide one-to-one psychodynamic and person-centred psychotherapy - in person, online or within nature. In addition as a trained mindfulness teacher I can offer one-to-one mindfulness coaching or can incorporate elements of mindfulness practice into my psychotherapeutic work.

My one-to-one indoor work is based in therapy rooms in the Morningside area of Edinburgh and Bonnyrigg in Midlothian (both with good bus links).

I work within nature in various locations in the Edinburgh and Lothians and can tailor these to suit your accessibility and other needs.

I periodically offer therapeutic and/or mindfulness groups. These can be helpful for you if you don't want individual therapy but do want a caring safe space to support your mental health and well being. There is more detail about these on my website and you can email me if you want notified about my next therapeutic or mindfulness group.

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute introductory session (usually online). This allows you to meet me, hear about how I work therapeutically and work out if you think we will work well together. It also lets me hear about why you are coming to counselling and what you hope to gain from the process.
