About me and my therapy practice

I am a warm and open-minded qualified and experienced therapist and will offer you compassion, honesty and a safe space to explore whatever is going on for you past or present.

I understand that life can be challenging, complicated and painful, and sometimes we don't know where to turn. It can be hard to express our thoughts and feelings to family or friends, but we can still need someone who will be by our side who can help. I would love to be that person for you, to help you with respect and care, human to human allowing you to know you are not alone.

I will work with you in a supportive way, where you can explore and reflect on whatever you wish to bring, leading to a sense of clarity and a way forward.

Why me?

People choose to come to me because they want to find a way to make changes or work on a specific goal. They want to understand themselves more or they simply wish to be heard and valued. I do this by offering my warm acceptance of you, within an honest, kind and caring relationship. I hope to put you at ease whilst you achieve greater awareness and sense of self.

I also understand the effects that the below can have on us physically and emotionally and can help you feel safe whilst we explore these through talking or creative ways. I can help ground you and give you time to pause if you need it, I always work at your own pace.

I typically work with people who have experienced or are experiencing abuse, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, self-esteem/confidence issues, depression, relationship and family issues, and the menopause. I also work with people who are neurodivergent (autism, ADHD) or have family or friends who are and I have personal family experience with this too.

This is not an exhaustive list, as life is complicated and can throw a whole host of issues in our path.

Practice description

About therapy:

Therapy whether you have experienced it before or not can feel like taking a leap into the unknown. I have been there myself and can appreciate how scary and brave it can feel. It can for some, feel like emptying that junk draw that we all have. We can look at each piece or just some, examine it closely or place it in a box for another day. Some pieces will be returned to the draw, but may look slightly different, and some pieces will be discarded as they are no longer of any use.

Imagine a life without the experiences you may have at the moment, the clarity and ease that may bring. I can help you to achieve that and would be honoured to be a part of that journey.

I offer a free up to 20-minute call for us to get to know each other. I can answer any questions or fears you may have whilst you decide if I am the right person for you, with no obligation to continue with me. If you would like to find out more please contact me.

Where and when?

I have a room in Eastleigh within The Therapy Rooms, opposite Places Leisure with plenty of free parking which is minutes from both the M27 and the M3 and also has great public transport links. I can also offer online and telephone therapy.

I work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and aim to be as flexible as possible to accommodate those working shifts or from home with varying meeting times. I am also very understanding of those of you who may be parents/grandparents with school holidays and inset days to juggle.

Therapy is usually weekly but I understand this does not work for everyone, whether that be time-wise or financially, and we can discuss this when we first talk.

My first session

I offer a free introductory 20 minute phone conversation, this gives you the chance to see if I am the right fit for you and answer any questions you may have.
