About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Saad (they/them). I am an integrative therapist specialising in anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, and LGBTQIA+ issues.
I have lived in different parts of the world and I bring this rich experience with me when I work with my clients. Sometimes we have gone through our whole lives without someone to truly listen to us. Through therapy, I offer a relationship where you can begin to unburden yourself, and find a congruent sense of a self. I use two central approaches in my work:
Psychodynamic Therapy:
I use psychodynamic therapy to support clients process difficult emotions from the past so that they can experience a sense of autonomy in their lives. Psychodynamic therapy helps you explore and understand the causes of your behaviour, which often stem from early years experience.
Parts-work therapy:
I also use a trauma informed, parts-work approach to help you develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself. Within this therapy, I support you by giving you resources. These can include, breathwork, embodying yourself in a safe place and meeting inner resource figures which are archetypal beings coming from your sense of centre. The resourcing allows you to feel rooted in a deep sense of calm and safety. This alone can be a deeply healing experience for many people.
From this place of rootedness, you can then work with parts of you carrying difficult emotions, and find a sense of emotional release which is embodied. The process allows you to reconnect with your sense of centre.
Consultation:
Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like to learn more about how I work and if we could be a good fit. I offer a free thirty-minute consultation to help you get a sense of me.
Practice description
My experience includes working with Wellbeing Scotland to support clients suffering from trauma, including those dealing with chronic anxiety, domestic abuse, and bereavement. Additionally, I have worked as a voluntary counsellor at LGBT Health and Wellbeing, supporting a diverse range of clients.
I currently work with the organisation, African Rainbow Family, where I support refugee clients process their trauma, come to terms with the grief of migration, and find renewed hope. I am also the affiliate therapist with Glasgow Museum of Modern Art (GOMA) where I offer counselling to young creative people of colour.
Within my private practice, I have supported LGBTQIA+ clients on issues around familial acceptance, loss, abuse, and forging a stable identity in the aftermath of traumatic events. More specifically, I have supported clients release the pain in held in their bodies and find inner joy in their identity. I have experience of working with the complex intersection of neurodivergence, race, gender and queerness. I tailor my therapeutic style based on the needs of my clients.

The first session is a consultation which takes place on zoom. This lasts thirty minutes and is free of charge.
This will allow you to get a sense of me, and see if we could be a good fit.
