About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Saad (they/them). I am a therapist, and I work both in person and online. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques, including talk therapy, mindfulness and work somatically to support clients process difficult experiences in the past and the present. I am experienced in working with people belonging to a broad range of cultures, sexualities, and gender identities.
I offer a warm and compassionate space. My focus is to support you with your presenting issues, so that you can experience a sense of calm and belonging in your body. This feels more important than ever in the current times, where we are often over stimulated, and rates of burnout are on the rise.
I have been trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, and I believe that healing happens when we talk, as well as work with the pain stored in our bodies.
Therapy is a profound process of self-discovery, reclaiming inner-joy, wonder, and finding sustained healing. It is a sacred process, and I am honoured each time I sit beside my clients.
Practice description
My experience includes working with Wellbeing Scotland to support clients suffering from trauma, including those dealing with chronic anxiety, domestic abuse, and bereavement. Additionally, I have worked as a voluntary counsellor at LGBT Health and Wellbeing, supporting a diverse range of clients.
I currently work with the organisation African Rainbow Family, where I have support refugee clients process their trauma, come to terms with the grief of migration, and find renewed hope.
Within my private practice, I have supported clients on issues around familial acceptance, loss, sexual abuse, and forging a stable identity in the aftermath of traumatic events. More specifically, I have supported LGBTQIA+ clients process difficult experiences and find their inner strength and peace.
I believe that therapy is a deep form of self-care, where we get to meet ourselves again. I am deeply passionate about working with clients who are looking for a therapist with a shared lived experience and understanding.

The first session is a consultation which takes place on zoom. This lasts thirty minutes and is free of charge.
