About me and my therapy practice
About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Elena, a UK-qualified integrative counsellor. I'm based in Portsmouth and offer online therapy to clients across the UK, including London.
I specialise in supporting adults living with the lasting impact of trauma, late-diagnosed ADHD, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. Many of the people I work with have spent years masking how they feel, questioning themselves, or believing they simply aren't good enough.
If you've been carrying that weight quietly, know that reaching out is often the hardest part — and it's one you don't have to do alone from here.
Areas I work with
- Late-diagnosed ADHD and neurodiversity
- Trauma and its lasting effects
- Anxiety and overthinking
- Shame and chronic self-blame
- Low self-esteem
- Perfectionism and burnout
How I work
I work integratively because I don't think one model holds all the answers. I bring together person-centred therapy, TA, Gestalt, CBT, trauma-informed work, and compassion-focused approaches, and shape each session around what you actually need, not a fixed plan.
Ready to take the first step? Your first session is a chance to explore what's brought you here, with no pressure to continue afterwards. I usually respond the same day by email or text (I avoid calling, to protect your privacy — check spam if needed).

My training in Humanistic Integrative Counselling combines several approaches to help you gain awareness and lasting change.
Through our work you may:
- Understand how past experiences still influence the present
- Build a kinder relationship with yourself and others
- Identify the roots of anxiety or guilt and reduce their power
- Reconnect thoughts, feelings, and body awareness
- Develop a stronger sense of wholeness — living with your feelings, not ruled by them
Every technique is introduced gently and at your pace, keeping your space safe, ethical, and supportive — and even the hardest days can shift once you stop carrying them alone.

About me and my therapy practice
About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Elena, a UK-qualified integrative counsellor based in Portsmouth. I see clients face-to-face across the local area, including Southsea, as well as online across the UK.
I specialise in supporting adults living with the lasting impact of trauma, late-diagnosed ADHD, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. Many of the people I work with have spent years masking how they feel, questioning themselves, or believing they simply aren't good enough.
You don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out. Most people I work with start with just a feeling that something needs to change — that's more than enough to begin.
Areas I work with
Late-diagnosed ADHD and neurodiversity
Childhood and adult trauma
Anxiety and emotional overwhelm
Low self-esteem and self-criticism
Burnout
Boundaries and people-pleasing
How I work
I trained integratively because I wanted more than one way of understanding a person. Depending on what you bring — person-centred, TA, Gestalt, CBT, trauma-informed, or compassion-focused work — I use whichever approach actually fits what you're going through, rather than fitting you into a method.

My training in humanistic integrative counselling brings together several approaches to help you:
- Understand how the past continues to shape the present
- Build a kinder, more honest relationship with yourself
- Identify what's driving anxiety or guilt, and loosen its hold
- Reconnect mind, feelings, and body
- Move toward a steadier sense of self
All of this happens gradually, at a pace that keeps things feeling safe — and steady progress is still progress, even when it's slow.

It's okay not to know where to start — that's part of what the first session is for. Sessions are held over Zoom or Teams, giving you a private, flexible space to talk.

How I work
No single approach fits everyone, so I don't rely on just one. I draw on person-centred, TA, Gestalt, CBT, trauma-informed, and compassion-focused work, using whichever helps most at the time — guided by you, not a set programme.
Ready to take the first step? Reaching out doesn't commit you to anything beyond a first conversation. I reply the same day wherever I can, by email or text (I don't phone, to protect your confidentiality — please check spam if nothing arrives).

- Build a more positive relationship with yourself and others

About me and my therapy practice
About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Elena, a UK-qualified integrative counsellor offering face-to-face counselling here in Portsmouth, Hampshire, and online therapy across the UK.
I specialise in supporting adults living with the lasting impact of trauma, late-diagnosed ADHD, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. Many of the people I work with have spent years masking how they feel, questioning themselves, or believing they simply aren't good enough.
If any of that sounds familiar, you don't have to keep carrying it alone. In our sessions, you'll have space to be fully yourself — no masking, no over-explaining — while we work at a pace that feels right for you.
Areas I work with
- Trauma and difficult life experiences
- Late-diagnosed ADHD and neurodiversity
- Anxiety and overthinking
- Shame, guilt, and self-blame
- Burnout and emotional overwhelm
- Perfectionism and people-pleasing
- Relationship difficulties and boundaries
How I work
I don't believe therapy should follow one fixed script, because no two people arrive with the same story. So I draw on several approaches — person-centred, transactional analysis, Gestalt, CBT, trauma-informed, and compassion-focused — and let what actually helps you guide which one we lean on, session to session.

My integrative humanistic training draws on a range of approaches to support what you need. Together, this work can help you:
- Understand how past experiences may be shaping your present
- Build a more compassionate relationship with yourself and others
- Explore the roots of anxiety, guilt, or emotional distress
- Reconnect your thoughts, feelings, and physical responses
- Feel more able to live with your emotions rather than be controlled by them
Everything is introduced gently, at your pace, within a safe and ethical space — and wherever you're starting from, that's a fine place to begin.

I specialise in supporting adults living with the lasting impact of trauma, late-diagnosed ADHD, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. Many of the people I work with have spent years masking how they feel, questioning themselves, or believing they simply aren't good enough.

How I work
I trained across several approaches — person-centred, TA, Gestalt, CBT, trauma-informed, and compassion-focused — because I think good therapy responds to the person in front of me, not the other way round. Which of those we lean on depends entirely on what's useful for you.
