About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes things do not feel quite right, even if it is hard to explain why. You may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of yourself, or find yourself going over the same thoughts without feeling any clearer.

Counselling offers a space to begin to understand what is going on for you, at your own pace and in your own way.

I am a qualified integrative counsellor working with adults and young people (11+), offering face to face sessions in Ash, near Aldershot, Farnham and Camberley, as well as online across the UK.

People come to counselling for many different reasons. Some arrive with a clear sense of what they would like to explore, while others are less sure and simply know that something does not feel quite right.

Alongside experiences such as anxiety, low self esteem, or feeling stuck, counselling can also be a space to reflect, gain clarity, and better understand yourself.

Practice description

My approach is integrative, with a foundation in person centred counselling. This means our sessions are led by you and what you choose to bring.

We can explore your thoughts and feelings together, helping you to understand yourself more clearly and notice patterns in how you experience things or respond to situations.

I draw on different approaches where helpful, including an understanding of attachment and psychodynamic thinking, but always in a way that feels accessible and relevant to you.

There is no pressure to have a clear starting point. We can begin wherever you are, and work at a pace that feels manageable.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin to get to know each other and for you to get a sense of whether it feels comfortable to work together.

You are welcome to share as much or as little as you feel ready to. Some people arrive with a clear idea of what they would like to talk about, while others are less sure and we can take time to explore this together.

We will also go through the counselling agreement, including confidentiality and how I work, so that everything feels clear. There will be space for you to ask any questions.

There is no expectation to have everything worked out. We can take things at your own pace.
