About me and my therapy practice
Grow. Heal. Thrive.
I have a MSc in Counselling Children and Young People.
I have 9 years experience working with Children, Young People and Adults. I offer a gentle, supportive and empathetic space where you can feel safe to talk openly and be heard without judgement. My approach combines person-centred counselling with CBT techniques, allowing me to work collaboratively with you while also offering practical tools to help manage everyday challenges.
I specialise in working with children and young people, while also being trained and experienced in supporting adults. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, bereavement and neurodiverse-related challenges, with particular specialisms in trauma, bereavement and neurodiversity.
I understand that every person’s experiences and needs are unique, and I tailor therapy to suit you as an individual. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work, and I aim to provide a caring and compassionate environment where you can explore difficult emotions at your own pace.
Whether you are struggling with overwhelming feelings, life changes, past experiences or feeling stuck, therapy can provide space for understanding, healing and growth. I offer both online sessions and face-to-face counselling in Northamptonshire and surrounding areas.
Practice description
Grow. Heal. Thrive.
I have a private counselling room based in Duston, Northampton and I also offer online counselling or I can go into your child's school.
My practice is centred around creating a calm, safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable to explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences at their own pace. I work in a gentle, caring and empathetic way, building a trusting therapeutic relationship that allows clients to feel heard, valued and understood.
I use an integrative approach combining person-centred counselling with CBT techniques. This allows me to adapt sessions to each individual’s needs, offering both emotional support and practical strategies to help manage challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression and low self-esteem.
I specialise in working with children and young people and am also trained and experienced in supporting adults. I have a particular interest in trauma, bereavement and neurodiversity, and I understand the importance of working sensitively and collaboratively with each client’s unique experiences.
My practice offers a non-judgemental space where clients can explore difficult emotions, process past experiences and develop healthier coping strategies. I offer both online counselling and face-to-face sessions in Northampton.
My first session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other in a safe, relaxed and supportive space. I understand that starting counselling can feel daunting, so I aim to make the process as comfortable and gentle as possible.
During our first session, we will talk about what has brought you to counselling, any challenges you may be experiencing and what you hope to gain from therapy. There is no pressure to share everything straight away — we will work at a pace that feels right for you and I will take some notes and check in with your emotions.
I will also explain how I work, answer any questions you may have and explore how we can work together in a way that best supports your individual needs. As my approach is person-centred and CBT-based, sessions can include both space for reflection and practical tools to help you manage difficulties outside of therapy.
Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, stress, trauma, bereavement, depression or neurodiverse-related challenges, my aim is to provide a caring, non-judgemental environment where you feel heard, understood and supported from the very beginning.
