About me and my therapy practice

I’m a qualified integrative psychotherapist, offering a calm, genuine, and supportive space to explore whatever is happening in your life right now.

People often come to me when they’re feeling overwhelmed — by grief, illness, trauma, relationship issues, or big life changes. You might be living with anxiety or low mood, navigating family life, facing ageing or mortality, or coping with health or medical treatment. Sometimes there isn’t one clear problem, just a sense that life feels heavy or uncertain.

My approach is integrative, drawing on psychodynamic therapy and CBT. This allows us to gently explore past experiences and patterns, while also focusing on ways to help you cope and move forward in the present.

Practice description

I qualified in 2016 and am a Registered Member of the BACP. My style is empathetic, engaged, and collaborative — we’ll follow your priorities, working at a pace that feels right for you.

I am a registered member of the BACP and follow their professional standards and ethical code of practice.

All sessions last 50 minutes and cost £60.

I have experience working both in counselling service charity, and in healthcare facilities.

I have particular experience supporting people with:

• Grief and loss

• Anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm

• Relationships

• Cancer and medical treatment

• Women’s issues and motherhood

• Existential concerns and questions of meaning

• Ageing, the third age, and mortality

You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can begin wherever you are.

My first session

I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. For this reason, the first two sessions are a chance for us to get to know each other and explore how it feels to work together. We’ll talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and how I work, giving us both the opportunity to actively decide whether this feels like the right fit.

If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, or whether I might be the right therapist, you’re very welcome to get in touch to ask questions or arrange an initial session.
