About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP registered psychotherapist and counsellor working in St Albans and online. I offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation prior to booking. This gives you a chance to ask any questions you may have, discuss what you are seeking support with and get a better idea of whether you would like to work together. Please get in touch to arrange a time to talk.

I am a relational integrative therapist which means I draw on different therapeutic models and tailor my approach to what works best for you, rather than following a rigid formula. As research shows, the quality of the relationship between client and therapist is a key factor in meaningful change. From this perspective, I offer a space that is non-judgmental, warm, and entirely focused on you. My role is to help you explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions at your own pace.

I believe therapy works best when it's collaborative. It isn't about me fixing you or telling you what to do. Instead, it's a space where you can speak freely without judgement, explore what's going on beneath the surface, and start to understand yourself better. As your therapist, I'm here to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and walk alongside you as you find your own way forward. Together, we can create clarity where there's confusion, and help you reconnect with what matters most to you.

Practice description

I work with adults (over 18) on an individual basis, both in-person and online via secure video platform. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, either open-ended or for a mutually agreed number of sessions. Some people come for a few sessions to work through a specific issue. Others stay longer, using therapy as a space to explore deeper patterns and find lasting change. There's no expectation either way. We'll move at your pace.

Some of the areas I work with regularly are; anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement, redundancy, loss, health anxiety, health-related issues, work or study related stress, life changes and identity.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute consultation by phone, or video call. This is your chance to ask questions, tell me a bit about what's brought you to therapy, and see if we're a good fit. There's no obligation. It’s simply an opportunity to start a conversation and help you make an informed decision about your next steps. If you feel like I am the right fit for you, we can then arrange an initial session.

Sessions last 50 minutes, and are typically on the same day and at the same time each week. These are charged at a fee of £65 per session.

I also offer a limited number of spaces at a reduced rate for students or those on low income. Please get in touch for more information.
