About me and my therapy practice

I am a trauma-informed counsellor dedicated to creating safe, non-judgmental space where every person feels seen, respected, and valued. I work fluently in English and Urdu, bridging cultural and linguistic gaps to ensure deep understanding and comfort for diverse clients, including LGBTQ+ individuals and those from South Asian backgrounds.

My approach is rooted in deep respect for identity and lived experience: I specialise in supporting LGBTQ+ people—including those navigating coming out, gender transition, relationship dynamics, or reconciling identity with culture and faith. I work gently with the complexities of stigma, family pressure, and internalised shame, honouring each person’s unique truth without assumption.

As a trauma-informed practitioner, I recognise how past wounds shape present thoughts, feelings, and relationships. I avoid pathologising responses; instead, I help you understand your experiences as survival strategies. I integrate safety, choice, and empowerment into every session—prioritising trust, autonomy, and pacing that feels manageable for you.

Confidentiality is foundational: all conversations, personal details, and your identity are held strictly private and secure. I maintain clear ethical boundaries and am transparent about limits while fostering a space where you can speak freely without fear of exposure. My role is not to direct you, but to walk alongside you—offering compassionate support, clarity, and practical tools to process pain, build self-worth, and move toward healing. Whether you bring cultural conflict, identity questions, trauma, or relationship struggles, I meet you where you are, with empathy and respect.

Practice description

I know how past hurt can shape how you see, feel, and react now—how freeze, flight, or fawn responses show up, how you might mask or rush to make sense of things before you’re ready. I uphold strict confidentiality, creating a space where nothing leaves our room, where you can be fully honest without fear.

Above all, I bring kindness and a great sense of humour—healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time; we can find lightness even in hard places. I never rush you: we go at your pace, explore what feels manageable, and build trust step by step. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, old wounds, identity questions, neurodivergence, or feeling unseen—you don’t have to carry it alone. This is a place you belong, exactly as you are.

I have a deep, specialised interest in supporting people with ADHD: I know firsthand how your brain moves fast, how thoughts, feelings, and perceptions can race or feel overwhelming, how you might jump to meaning before you even notice, or carry shame for how you experience the world.

Your Safe Space for Healing & Growth

I am an experienced, trauma-informed counsellor with many years of work within mental health, bringing warmth, depth, and genuine understanding to every conversation. My practice is rooted in respect—honouring your pace, your truth, and exactly who you are.

Reaching out is hard , but you've done part of that journey by getting here. Well done!

My first session

Theres no need to prepare.  Come as you are. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to be here. You don’t need to have everything planned out or know exactly what to say. You don’t have to perform, or fix anything straight away.

You don’t have to be perfect—just being here is enough.
