About me and my therapy practice
My current way of working is a pluralistic person-centred approach.
My practice is underpinned by Person centred values and informed by other theories dependant on the clients presenting issues, goals, hopes and expectations of therapy.
I always work from a trauma informed stance and include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theory and attachment theory as well as utilising psychoeducation.
My core training was Person centred therapy (PCT), this is the foundation of the work I do.
I work with couples and individual clients. My current way of working with couples is integrative, bringing together the theory, knowledge skills and attitudes I use in individual therapy and including the skill set I have acquired throughout my couples for depression therapy training with Tavistock relationships.
I am a BACP accredited counsellor, I have a degree in counselling skills and 13 years' experience.
Practice description
Compassion, empathy and unconditional positive regard is central to all the work I do.
