About me and my therapy practice

Are you looking to find your self-worth again after an abusive relationship? Do you need to work with a trauma therapist to find your self-worth again?

Are you having nightmares? Flashbacks? Anxiety attacks? Are you struggling to trust your thoughts and feelings, battling fatigue and not sure how to start the process of getting back to being you? If you are existing rather than living due to trauma and abuse we can work together so you can heal.

I work with a wide range of clients, specialising in those who are trying to leave, or who have left, an abusive relationship and want to shed the trauma bonds and find their self-worth again.

I am a survivor of domestic violence and have experience working with those who want to heal from trauma and abuse, trauma bonding, and co-dependency. I can work with you to help you understand how trauma and abuse affect your mind, body, and well-being as well as your relationships going forwards.

We can work together in a trauma-informed way so you can navigate your way through the emotions of shame, guilt, and fear in a safe and nurturing way.

Please reach out to me to arrange a free discovery call to chat informally about how you can start your healing journey. You CAN heal from trauma and abuse.

Practice description

I have a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. Working online across the UK and in-person at therapy rooms in Morley, Leeds, LS27, I can offer you a safe and confidential space to explore any feelings that have become overwhelming. Getting the support you need when you are struggling can bring enormous relief.

I work primarily with those who are trying to leave, or who have left, an abusive relationship and want to shed the trauma bonds and find their self-worth again. I have also worked successfully with a range of clients, exploring (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, stress, ill-health, LGBTQ+ topics, trauma, attachment and abuse. I also have experience working with teenagers and young adults.

I have also trained in creative therapy with young people and work with children and young people from the age of 14 upwards.

My first session

I know first-hand how scary it can be to take that first step into counselling, and I also know that choosing a therapist is a deeply personal choice. With that in mind, I offer a free discovery call online or over the phone so we can chat informally about what you hope to achieve through counselling and ask any questions you may have.

If you would like to proceed, we can discuss a suitable day and time for your sessions.

If you are ready to see what we can achieve together, please use the buttons at the top to book an introductory discovery call or send me an email. I am responsive and will reply to you quickly.

Our first session will be about what you would like to achieve through your therapy, discussing some of the issues you would like to focus on in our sessions. Meeting weekly is best to foster our therapeutic relationship, although I appreciate that it is not always possible; if you prefer fortnightly sessions, please let me know.

Online sessions are £50 and last 50 minutes, in-person sessions are £60 and last 50 minutes at the Leeds Treatment Rooms, Morley, LS27 9AN.
